CLARIFIER INJECTION CASE STUDY

Project:     Paper Mill Main Clarifier Joint and Crack Repair
Location:   Eastern Maine
GC:           JWI

In Eastern Maine, paper mill officials noticed some effluent leaking from beneath the mill’s main clarifier.  Jean’s Waterproofing was contacted and along with mill engineers, decided that during the next scheduled shutdown the clarifier would be drained and washed.  Then JWI would inject every joint and problematic cracks using a water-swelling, acrylate-ester resin.  The project was completed successfully and ahead of schedule.  There has been no known evidence of any further leakage from this structure.
